Environmental Management System (EMS)

Our organization is committed to meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 (MNS ISO 14001:2016) and has implemented an effective Environmental Management System to promote sustainable practices, minimize environmental impact, and enhance overall environmental performance.

Environmental Monitoring and Assessment

In collaboration with the National Agency for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, we conduct quarterly monitoring of soil, water, and air quality in the mining and industrial zones. The results are thoroughly analyzed, and corrective measures are implemented to mitigate any potential environmental impacts.

Rehabilitation and Biodiversity Protection

● A total of 18.1 hectares within the license area have undergone both technical and
biological rehabilitation, which has been successfully handed over to local authorities.
● As part of the “Rehabilitation 2024” initiative, we have completed technical rehabilitation
on 97.3 hectares and biological rehabilitation on 13 hectares of abandoned lands, which
have also been returned to local communities for sustainable use.
● Additionally, we have successfully reintroduced 60 marmots into their natural habitat,
contributing to biodiversity restoration.

One Billion Trees Program

In alignment with the national One Billion Trees initiative, we have pledged to plant one million trees. As part of this commitment, we have entered agreements to restore 100 hectares of forest along the Kharaa River in Selenge province and 70 hectares in Darkhan-Uul province. To date, approximately 30,000 tamarisk trees have been planted on 40 hectares of protected land. Moreover, a nursery has been established at the Tumurtei mine, where we are cultivating around 30,000 saplings, including both deciduous and coniferous species, which will be planted along the Kharaa River to further contribute to ecological restoration.
